Boston Celtics Should Trade for Trailblazer's Nurkić If Possible

Jusuf Nurkić has been a steal for the Trailblazers thus far, acquiring him from the Nuggets for almost nothing. Nurkić averaged 15.2 points on 51 percent shooting, 10.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.3 steals in 20 games with the Trail Blazers. Nurkic is the perfect fit for the Boston Celtics. Nurkic is a great rebounder and a decent scorer with above average defense down near the rim. Boston would benefit heavily from his services lacking a true big men since 2010 when Kendrick Perkins got traded. If Portland Trailblazers have a poor start to the season, with a loaded up Western Conference, the Trailblazers could consider trading Nurkic and tank for the draft, rebuiling around Damian Lillard.

All this is unlikely as of right now, but if...just if Nurkic comes available, Celtics should definitely check in for the talented 23 year old Center.
