After trading for Kyrie Irving, Celtics now have a couple of roster spots to fill, and surprisingly there are still some great additions that could help the Boston Celtics a lot for cheap:

1. Monta Ellis

Monta Ellis is past his prime, but he could still be useful of the bench. Ellis is still a solid scorer with ball handling ability, shooting may be a problem, but his services could be valuable for cheap.

2. Tony Allen

Probably the one that makes most sense, Allen is a lockdown defender, he has lost a step in his old age at 35, but still is a great defender if a team needs a stop. Allen has no offense nor can he shoot, but since Celtics trade Bradley, they lack a player that specializes on defense, and they could get one in Tony Allen. Reunite the former Celtic, Danny!

3. Andrew Bogut

Low risk, high reward. Andrew Bogut has mush experience in the playoffs, when healthy he is very good starter, but that's a big if, he was injured 59 secs into the first game for the Cavs who picked him up last season. But if he can stay healthy, Celtics could get the rim protector and rebounder they lack.

4. Dwyane Wade

Like him or not, Wade would be a force of the bench for Boston, he is expected to be brought out soon by the rebuilding Bulls. Wade has great leadership qualities and could provide scoring and defense even at an old age, definitely worth a look at. Besides, do we really want him going to Cleveland?

5. Ezeli Festus

A year ago, Festus was thought to be poised for a breakout year, but it never came. Blazers waived Festus due to cap issues, but Celtics could possible give him a second chance. Festus won't be some spectacular player, but he'd provide some depth in a thin frontcourt with some shot blocking abilities.

6. Gerald Green

Celtics elected not to resign Green earlier, but now maybe he'll be back in green? Gerald Green had his moment in the playoffs, a good versatile player that Brad Stevens could like to work with again, Green also could provide some depth at SF or PF.

7. Terrance Jones

Terrance Jones had his best years with the Rockets, Jones was always a good rebounder and defender, but never got much of a chance even with some good performances, Celtics could look to give Jones a chance to prove himself once more, and if he fits in Celtic system, he could be a valuable player for the bench.

8. Matt Barnes

After Crowder was traded, Celtics lost a bit of toughness at the SF position, Barnes could help with that, Barnes is a veteran that understands the game well, and would be a great piece to a young and contending team.
