Andre Drummond to the Boston Celtics?

So why would Pistons trade Drummond?

Andre Drummond is a very talented big men, at his best he is the best rebounding big men in the league, adding soild offensive and above average defense as well. But Drummond at times has been a disappointment for the Detroit Pistons, he struggled on the court and fans question the determination of Drummond to play winning basketball. Drummond is also the worst free throw shooter in the league at a astonishing 38.6%. Andre Drummond is also not known to be a leader in the locker room. Right now Drummond's value could be at his lowest as Pistons should have at least thought about moving on from the All-Star Caliber big man.

Why would the Celtics trade for Drummond?

First of all, Celtics have the assets to acquire about any player in the league, the question would be if that player is good enough to put the Boston Celtics over teams like the Cleveland Cavaliers or Golden State Warriors. Drummond might just be that final piece. Boston ranked dead last in rebounds last season, having no true Center after Al Horford proved to be more comfortable playing power forward. Drummond could instantly solve Boston's rebounding issue, which is a major improvement if that ought to happen. Boston Celtics free throw percentage is among the leagues best, so taking on Drummonds poor free throw shooting woes could be less painful. If Boston thinks Drummond is the last piece to the puzzle at the right price, don't be surprised if the Boston Celtics would be willing to go over the Cap, as Celtics Owner claimed, to bring Boston another title.

What Package could Detroit look for?

Even if Andre Drummonds value is lower than before, it's still pretty high, which means Celtics would definitely have to part ways with either BKN 2018 pick or LAL 2018 pick both projected to be in the top five and potentially giving up another young piece like Terry Roizer or even Jaylen Brown, which would be a tough decision and a high risk letting great young talent go.

What are the chances?

Of course, the chances of Boston Celtics actually trading for Andre Drummond is not likely at the moment, but it is certainty interesting to think if Andre Drummond could possibly fix Boston's biggest issue in rebounding and ultimately bring a championship back to beantown.
