Starter: Bob Cousy

Backup: Rajon Rondo

• Bob Cousy is the all time leader in assist for the Boston Celtics, Cousy is the perfect distributor. I think we are all familiar with Rajon Rondo, at his best he was a top three point guard in the league and a triple double machine.

Shooting Guards,

Starter: John Havlicek

Backup: Sam Jones

• John Havlicek is the All time leader in scoring for the Boston Celtics. He was the Gap that connected the Bill Russell era to the Larry Bird era, keeping Celtics a winning team. Now this is the trickier part, Sam Jones or Ray Allen, I choose Sam Jones because Jones was with the Celtics for more seasons and played a huger role in Boston Celtics history.

Small Forwards,

Starter: Larry Bird

Backup: Paul Pierce

• Well, that was super easy. Larry Bird most would agree is the best player in Boston Celtics history, not much to debate there, arguably the best small forward of all time, and Paul Pierce second leading all time scorer in Celtics history, and the legend that broke the curse winning a championship in 2008.

Power Forward,

Starter: Kevin McHale

Backup: Kevin Garnett

• Kevin McHale post moves was a absolute beauty, McHale was unstoppable back in the day, helping Larry Bird capture titles, and definitely a top PF of all time, Kevin Garnett spent his later years of his prime in Boston, but "the big ticket" was still a major superstar for Boston, anchoring the defense of the 2008 Celtics champions, also having a huge role on offense. KG is also a top PF of all time, imagine if KG had spent his prime years in Boston, and what him and Paul Pierce could achieve.

Centers,

Starter: Bill Russell

Backup: Robert Parish

• Bill Russell is a no brainer, carried the Boston Celtics to 11 NBA championships. Enough said. Robert Parish was a force down low for Larry Bird's Celtics back in the 80s, definitely deserves a spot on the All time Celtics team.
